Introduction

The Magic Faraway Tree is another child fantasy book written by every child's favourite ENID BLYTON. This story is about three siblings who live in a village and have a wood nearby named ENCHANTED WOOD where there is a magical tree named the MAGICAL FARAWAY TREE. So, let's review this book and if you have not read our previous book review about the Famous Five Book 1 then please do read it.

Characters and Brief Plot

There are three siblings names Joe, Beth and Frannie. Joe. is the eldest of them and then come Beth and Frannie who are his younger sisters. Their mother's name was Mrs Polly. They live in a deep corner of the country. They got a letter from their cousin Rick that he would be coming to their home during the summer vacations because his mother was ill. Rick was a child who was habitual to live in the noise and pollution of the city. He feels a little bit weird when he comes to a quiet and pollution-free village.

There was a wood near their home named THE ENCHANTED WOOD where stood a meters long tree called THE MAGIC FARAWAY TREE where there lived a lot of enchanted and magical creatures. There lived Moon-Face, Silky the Fairy, Saucepan Man, Mr Whatzisname, Ms Dame Washalot, The Angry Pixie and a lot more which get introduced in different portions of the book. The names of all these characters are self-explanatory about their characteristics.

So, as the name of the tree suggests, "FARAWAY TREE" we can perceive that it must be related to faraway places. Yes, you are right. At the top of the tree, there is a ladder which leads to various magical lands every week. Some lands are fantastic and enjoyable and some lands are totally destructive and some are very weird. Every land brings some problems with them for the for kids.

Enjoyable lands include the Land of Toys, Land of Goodies, Land of Do-As-You-Please, Land of Presents, e.t.c. And some haunting or weird lands include Land of Topsy-Turvy, Land of Tempers, Land of Old Women, e.t.c.

My Likings About The Book

This is a great book containing fantasy stories for kids. I enjoyed reading this book because it contains a lot of surprises and the way in which the surprises are disclosed is really impressive which doesn't allow the reader to drop the book. This book also contains a lot of morals for kids that are very important for everyone. Every land brings a moral with it. This book also contains mild jokes which are triggered at the right time and create good humour. This book also teaches us the value of respecting animals because most of the characters of this book are animals. This book is best for fantasy or magic lovers who want magic in everything. This book is a good choice for those who are new to reading because it is very interesting and if I tell about my journey of reading books, it began from this book only. So, a good choice for kids from 8-12 years of age.

My Disliking About The Book

My only disliking about the book is that at some points of the story a lot of characters get introduced which can cause confusion for some people, especially for kids of 8-9 years of age.
Else there is no negative point of this book.

Conclusion

So, as a conclusion, I would like to say that this book is one of the best books for young readers as the plot of this book is great and full of magic. A fantasy lover must try out this book and it is so interesting that if someone starts reading this book he would keep it down only after completing it.
I would like to give this book a rating of 9/10/ I deducted 1 point just because of the one negative point which I have mentioned above.

SPOILER ALERT: Whenever you would think that they are stuck in some land and would not be able to come back, you are wrong. They would definitely come back from that land and the only thing to think about is how will they come back.
