Reservation: Earlier vs Now
What is Reservation Reservation is a very common term. It is a provision in our constitution provided for the upliftment of backward classes. This provision reserves a fixed number of seats in government jobs and schools for backward classes namely Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) . This is a definition which we read in books and learn at schools. But currently, the scenario is very different. Nowadays reservation is merely a provision, it's rather a political stunt.
